Training Workshop on the Use of KemAngioprotez in Femoropopliteal Bypass Surgery and Arteriovenous Fistula Creation for Vascular Surgeons 02.03.2026 15:00On February 27, 2026, a specialized training workshop was held for a group of vascular surgeons from leading clinics in Uzbekistan, organized by NeoCor at the Kuzbass Regional Clinical Hospital named after S.V. Belyaev.
The event was dedicated to the use of the KemAngioprotez biological vascular graft in femoropopliteal bypass surgery (FPBS), as well as in the creation of fistulas for hemodialysis procedures. The training was conducted under the guidance of Roman Sultanov, Head of the Vascular Surgery Department at the Kuzbass Regional Clinical Hospital, Candidate of Medical Sciences, and Cardiovascular Surgeon.
The training program included a theoretical part covering the specific features of the graft's application, observation of two demonstrative surgeries using KemAngioprotez (femoropopliteal bypass grafting and arteriovenous fistula creation), hands-on practice in vascular suturing techniques using specialized simulators with xenografts, as well as an introduction to the company's history and a visit to the L.S. Barbarash Museum.
Particular interest among the course participants was generated by the experience of using the xenograft for arteriovenous fistula creation. KemAngioprotez represents an effective alternative to synthetic grafts for providing vascular access for long-term renal replacement therapy. Compared to synthetic grafts, KemAngioprotez demonstrates 2.5 times fewer infectious complications in the long-term follow-up period (12 months or more after the creation of permanent vascular access).
