Training Workshop for Cardiac Surgeons from India 11.02.2026 15:00From February 8 to 10, 2026, the Research Institute for Complex Issues of Cardiovascular Diseases in Kemerovo hosted a training workshop for cardiac surgeons from the Republic of India. The workshop was dedicated to the implantation technique of the "TiAra" biological heart valve prosthesis and the valve-containing conduit.
The three-day course program included a lecture series delivered by leading specialists of the institute, a visit to the operating unit, and hands-on training sessions using porcine heart models under the guidance of experienced instructors.
During the lecture sessions, the training participants learned about the specific features of the "TiAra" biological prosthesis and valve-containing conduit implantation techniques, reviewed clinical cases, and were introduced to the history of NeoСor, its product range, and their unique characteristics.
In the operating unit, the cardiac surgeons observed two demonstrative surgeries using the "TiAra" bioprosthesis and two more using the valve-containing conduit. During the surgeries, participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the operating surgeons, as well as to learn about the department's workflow and the equipment used.
The practical sessions involved hands-on training using porcine heart models. Each participant independently implanted the prosthesis into a porcine heart under the supervision of experienced trainers.
The guests also visited the museum of L.S. Barbarash — the founder of NeoСor and the Kemerovo Cardiology Center — enjoyed a sightseeing tour of the city, explored Kemerovo's landmarks, and learned about the city's cultural and historical life.
The training program proved to be intense and well-rounded. Participants were able not only to deepen their theoretical knowledge but also to hone their practical skills and exchange experiences between countries, which contributes to the professional development of specialists in the field of cardiac surgery.
